Privacy Policy

This policy describes what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we pass it to, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.

Last updated: August 04, 2026

PROGRES AN s. r. o ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at hotelunatop.online, an independent review publication that also transfers reservation requests to a third-party reservation partner. This policy should be read together with our Cookie Policy and How We Make Money. To manage your choices in one place, see Your Privacy Choices.

Who is responsible for your information. The data controller (and, for Quebec residents, the enterprise responsible for the information) is PROGRES AN s. r. o, company number 54842131, registered at Žuffova 1099/49, Liptovský Mikuláš, 031 01, Slovenská republika. The person accountable for privacy can be reached at [email protected].

1. The one thing to know before you use the reservation form

If you submit a reservation request, we transfer the details you enter to a third party — an independent third-party reservation-services company ("the reservation partner") — so that its reservations team can contact you and arrange a booking. We are paid a referral fee for that transfer. The partner is an independent business that will use your information under its own privacy policy, and it may be located outside your province and outside Canada. If you do not want your details shared on that basis, please do not submit the form — you can contact any property directly through its own website or usual contact channels.

2. Information we collect

We do not ask for and do not want payment card numbers, government identifiers, health information or any other sensitive category of data. Please do not include such information in free-text fields.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

PurposeBasis
Transferring your reservation request to the reservation partner so it can contact youYour consent, given at the point of submission (and, where the EU/UK GDPR applies, consent under Art. 6(1)(a))
Responding to your feedback, questions and rights requestsConsent / performance of your request; legal obligation for rights requests
Sending you a newsletter or marketing emailYour express opt-in consent (CASL; GDPR consent)
Operating, securing and debugging the site; preventing spam, fraud and automated abuseOur legitimate interests / reasonable purposes under PIPEDA
Measuring traffic and understanding how the site is usedYour consent for analytics cookies
Keeping records of consent, correspondence and referralsLegal obligation and legitimate interest in demonstrating compliance
Complying with law and responding to lawful requestsLegal obligation

You can withdraw consent at any time — see section 8. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, and cannot recall information already transferred to the reservation partner; for that, you should also contact the partner directly, and we will tell you who it is and how to reach it.

4. Who we disclose your information to

We do not sell your personal information for money. We are paid for the referral of a reservation request, not for the sale of data as such; we describe it here so you can judge it for yourself. Some U.S. state laws define "sale" or "sharing" broadly enough to cover advertising identifiers or referral arrangements — if you are in one of those states you can opt out at any time through Your Privacy Choices. We do not knowingly disclose personal information of anyone under the age of majority.

5. Where your information is stored and transferred

Reservation requests and feedback are transmitted to our servers and stored with our hosting provider. Our service providers and the reservation partner may be located in other countries. Your information may therefore be transferred to, stored in and accessed from jurisdictions whose data-protection and law-enforcement-access rules differ from those where you live. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including contractual protections and, for EEA/UK transfers, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Quebec residents: transfers outside Quebec are made only after an assessment of the privacy protections available in the receiving jurisdiction, and you may ask us for a summary of that assessment.

6. How long we keep it

DataRetention
Reservation request detailsUp to 24 months from submission, then deleted or irreversibly anonymised
Consent records (including CASL evidence of opt-in)3 years from the date consent was given or withdrawn
Feedback and support correspondenceUp to 24 months after the matter is closed
Newsletter subscriptionUntil you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record kept indefinitely so we do not contact you again
Server and security logsUp to 12 months

Once transferred, your information is retained by the reservation partner under its own retention policy, which we do not control.

7. Security

Form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection (TLS). Access to stored requests is limited to the people who need it, protected by individual accounts and multi-factor authentication where available. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach occurs that presents a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant regulators as required by PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25 and, where applicable, the GDPR.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise a right, email [email protected] or use Your Privacy Choices. We may need to verify your identity, and we will use anything you send for that purpose only. We aim to respond within 30 days (PIPEDA and Law 25), or within the period set by your local law.

Complaints. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; Quebec residents may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec; residents of the EEA or UK may complain to their local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

9. Marketing messages

We send commercial email only where you have given express consent, and every such message identifies us and carries a working unsubscribe link that we honour within 10 business days, as CASL requires. Messages that relate to a request you actually made — for example acknowledging your reservation request — are service messages, not marketing.

10. Cookies and tracking

Non-essential cookies are denied by default and are used only if you allow them. We operate Google Consent Mode with a deny-by-default configuration, and we honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal. Full detail, including the categories and durations, is in our Cookie Policy.

11. Not affiliated with the properties we review

PROGRES AN s. r. o is an independent editorial publication. We are not a hotel, casino, booking agency or travel agent, and we are not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by the properties or booking platforms we write about. Names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and editorial purposes only.

12. Age restriction

This site covers venues that include licensed gaming facilities and is intended only for adults who have reached the age of majority where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information — in particular if we change who we transfer reservation requests to — we will update this policy, change the "last updated" date, and give more prominent notice where the change is material.
