Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, why we store it, and how you can change it whenever you wish.
Last updated: August 04, 2026
Cookies are small text files saved on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels and tags — this policy covers all of them, and where we say "cookies" we mean the whole set. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.
Your choices: everything beyond the strictly necessary — analytics and marketing — remains switched off until you agree. You can accept, reject or change your choices at any time from the cookie settings panel linked in the footer.
How we ask for consent
On your first visit a banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or choose category by category. Until you make a choice, only strictly necessary storage is used. We operate Google Consent Mode v2 with all advertising and analytics signals set to denied by default, so any Google tag on the site receives that signal before it can store anything. Your choice is recorded on your own device and can be reopened and changed at any time from the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.
We also honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal: if your browser sends it, we treat non-essential categories as refused without you having to interact with the banner.
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. If and when we serve personalised advertising in those regions, consent is collected through a Google-certified consent management platform supporting the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework, in line with Google's EU user consent policy.
What we actually store
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Type & duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary (always on) |
Records your cookie choice so we do not ask again, keeps the interface working (menu state, form validation), and supports basic security and anti-abuse. | a consent preference key (your cookie choice); interface state keys | Local storage — persists until you clear it or change your choice |
| Reservation form state (strictly necessary) |
Remembers that you already submitted a request, so the page shows the status instead of an empty form if you return. This copy stays on your device; the request itself is sent to our server — see the Privacy Policy. | hotel_reservation_request | Local storage — persists until cleared by you or via the "start over" link |
| Performance & analytics (consent required) |
Tells us which reviews are read, where visitors leave, and whether the site is working. Reported in aggregate. | Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) | Cookies — up to 24 months |
| Marketing & measurement (consent required) |
Lets us measure which advertising campaigns bring visitors who go on to send a reservation request, and — where enabled — supports personalised advertising. | Google Ads / conversion measurement (_gcl_*), campaign click identifiers passed in the URL | Cookies — typically up to 90 days |
What we do not use
This site does not operate click-through affiliate tracking. There are no partner attribution cookies, no affiliate redirect links, and no cookie that follows you to a booking site to claim credit for a purchase. Our commercial model is the reservation request itself, explained in How We Make Money. We also do not use cookies to build advertising profiles about your health, finances or any other sensitive characteristic.
Third parties that may set cookies
- Google — analytics and advertising measurement, only with your consent. See Google's published materials on how it uses cookies and Google's privacy policy for details.
- Embedded maps (OpenStreetMap) — loading a map on a review page sends a request to the map provider, which reveals your IP address to it. Maps load only on pages where they are shown.
- Our hosting and security provider — may set strictly necessary cookies for load balancing and bot protection.
We do not control third-party cookies; please review the relevant provider's own notices.
Managing cookies
- Our settings panel — use "Cookie Settings" in the footer to change your choices at any time.
- Your browser — most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear site storage. Blocking strictly necessary storage may stop parts of the site working, including the reservation status view.
- Form data on your device — clear it with the "start over" link on the reservation page, or by clearing site data. Note that this removes only the copy on your device; to have the copy held by us deleted, see Your Privacy Choices.
- Advertising opt-outs — industry tools such as YourAdChoices (DAA), the Network Advertising Initiative, Your Online Choices (EU), and Google My Ad Center (search for those names in your browser).
Changes
We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The "last updated" date shows the latest revision.
