How hotelunatop.online works, what happens to a reservation request, how we make money, and how to reach a person.

Getting started
What is hotelunatop.online?
An independent review publication covering properties in Canada. We publish signed reviews, and we let you send a reservation request that we pass to a third-party reservation partner. We are not a hotel, a casino, a booking agency or a travel agent, and we are not affiliated with the properties we review.
Does it cost anything to use the site?
No. The site is free to read and free to use, and we never charge you anything. We are paid a referral fee by our reservation partner when we pass on a reservation request. Read How We Make Money — it is short and it is candid.
Are you the official website of the properties you list?
No. This is an independent review site, not the official website of any property, and we are not affiliated with the properties we cover. Names and trademarks belong to their owners.
Do I have to use your form to book?
Not at all, and we would rather say so than have you find out later. You can always book directly with any property through its own website or usual contact channels. Our form exists as a convenience, and we are paid when you use it.
Reservation requests
What actually happens when I submit the form?
Your name, phone number, email address and chosen property are sent to our server and then transferred to an independent third-party reservation-services company — our reservation partner. Its reservations team contacts you directly, usually by phone, to discuss dates, availability and price and to arrange a booking if you want to proceed. We are paid a referral fee for the transfer. No money changes hands on this site and you will never be charged by us.
Is my request a confirmed booking?
No. It is an enquiry. A booking exists only once the reservation partner or the property confirms it with you, and that contract — including price, cancellation and refund terms — is between you and them, not us.
Will the price I am quoted match the property's own rate?
We cannot promise that it will. We do not set, see or control the price, and a service or booking fee may apply. Compare the quote against the property's own published rates before you accept.
How long until someone contacts me?
That is up to the partner and we cannot guarantee a timeframe. If your dates are tight, call the property directly.
How do I stop being contacted, or delete my request?
Email [email protected] with the subject "Withdraw my reservation request". We will delete our copy and confirm, and we will give you the partner's contact details so you can ask it to do the same. The "start over" link on the reservation page clears the copy held in your browser. See Your Privacy Choices.
Do you take payment or card details?
Never. We do not collect or process any payment or card information at any stage. If any page asks for card details in our name, do not enter them and please report it to us.
Our reviews
How are reviews produced, and how do you score?
Each write-up draws on our writers' first-hand observations where a property has been visited, and otherwise on the property's own published information and publicly available guest feedback, with the page making clear which. We weigh comfort, service, location, cleanliness and atmosphere, and we read recent guest feedback so that one unusually good or bad night does not skew the picture. Ratings and star classes are our own editorial indications, not official classifications.
Are your reviews independent?
Yes. No property pays for placement, a score, or the removal of criticism, and no property sees a review before publication. Our referral fee is paid on reservation requests regardless of which property you choose, so it does not favour one property over another. See How We Make Money.
Why don't you show prices?
Because we do not sell accommodation, and any rate we published would be stale within hours. We point you to the source instead.
Where do the guest quotations come from?
Publicly available guest feedback, selected to reflect the balance of real opinion and summarised rather than republished in full, with the source platform named. See Content Guidelines.
Do all the venues you cover have rooms?
No, and we say so on the page where they do not. Some venues we cover are entertainment or gaming destinations without their own accommodation; in those cases the review covers the venue, and any stay would be at a nearby property.
How do I report a problem with a review?
Use our feedback form or see Content Guidelines & Reporting. Properties can request corrections there too.
Age, gaming and safety
Is there an age restriction?
Yes. This site is for adults only, and several venues we cover contain licensed gaming floors with a minimum entry age of 19 in most provinces and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. See Age & Responsible Gaming.
Do you operate or promote gambling?
No. We do not operate, host or provide access to any form of gambling, and we do not link to online casinos or betting products. We cover venues editorially, as places to visit and stay.
Where can I get help with gambling?
Free, confidential provincial support is listed on our Age & Responsible Gaming page, and it is available to family members as well.
Privacy and data
Where is my information stored after I submit a request?
On our server, and with the reservation partner once it has been transferred. A copy is also kept in your own browser so the page can show your request status. Clearing your browser does not delete our copy — use the contact route above for that. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.
How do I opt out of cookies or targeted advertising?
Open cookie settings from the footer link, or visit Your Privacy Choices. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal.
How do I access, correct or delete my data?
Email [email protected] or use Your Privacy Choices. Your rights are set out in the Privacy Policy.
Travel help
Do I need a passport or visa to visit Canada?
It depends on your nationality and how you arrive — many visa-exempt visitors flying in need an eTA, others a visitor visa. Our International Travel Documents guide covers the essentials; always confirm with official Government of Canada sources.
My flight was delayed or cancelled — what are my rights?
Flights to, from and within Canada are covered by the Air Passenger Protection Regulations. See Your Rights as a Traveller.
Accessibility and contact
Is the website accessible?
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA and keep improving. If you hit a barrier, tell us. See our Accessibility Statement.
How do I confirm a venue's accessibility features?
Contact the property directly through its own website or usual contact channels — features change, and only the property can confirm the specifics of a particular room.
How do I reach a real person?
Email [email protected] or use our feedback form. We aim to reply within two business days.
